Backstory

Theodore “Ted” James Kaczynski was born on May 22, 1942, in Chicago, Il. Teds’ family said he graduated high school at age 15 and was incredibly intelligent. He had an I.Q of 167 and had a Ph.D. by the age of 25. When Ted was attending Harvard, Ted -- along with a few other students-- took part in a psychological study. Psychologist, Henry A. Murray, was exploring the effects of stress on the human psyche. The study violated today’s ethical standards and tormented its subjects by verbally abusing them and insulting them. After Ted graduated college he moved to a small cabin in the woods that was completely off the grid. Ted was a bit of a loner and liked living alone away from town. This cabin ended up being where he made bombs.
