Monetary Donations
A monetary donation is the fastest and easiest way to help. Here are just a few ways your tax-deductible donations are used:
To purchase gas for the van we use for pick-ups and deliveries
To purchase critically needed items for our clients
To purchase supplies we need to clean donations and ensure household goods are delivered in ready-to-use condition

Furniture/Home Goods Donations
To donate furniture or household items, please:
Email donate@homeofourownhoward.org and include your name, address, phone number, and photos of the items you wish to donate. Note that we will pick up your donation, but from locations within Howard County only. We currently do not have a staffed drop-off site for donations.
Our donation volunteers will follow-up with you.
We focus on basic essentials that our clients need to make a functional, comfortable home. Our limited warehouse space constrains us to collect everyday items that allow our clients to sleep and relax comfortably, cook and serve a meal, bathe/shower, keep living spaces well lit, and organize their belongings. Our goal is to help our clients start anew with dignity and hope. We strive to provide ready-to-use items that we would be proud to have in our own homes, free of rips, tears, or stains.
