Notice to Parents – Ready to Read Phonics Books

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Your child will be bringing home Ready to Read Phonics books to support their reading development. These books are carefully chosen to match the phonics skills your child is learning at school and are intended to build confidence, accuracy, and fluency.

Please support your child by:

• Reading with them for 10–15 minutes each day.

• Encouraging them to sound out unfamiliar words using their phonics knowledge.

• Praising their effort and celebrating their progress.

• Talking about the story together to help build understanding and enjoyment.

Please help your child take good care of these books. They should be returned to school clean, neat, and in the same condition they were borrowed so that other children can enjoy them as well.
