This term, all your reading learning tasks will be on the Reading Task Board.
Log in to your class learning site and open the Reading Task Board – Term 2.
You will see two sections:
Must Do’s – These are your important reading tasks that everyone must complete. They help you build your reading skills and understanding.
Can Do’s – These are extra activities you can choose once your Must Do’s are finished. They help you think deeper about what you read.
Start with the Must Do’s first, then move on to the Can Do’s.
Read carefully, think about the text, and share your ideas clearly.
Ask your teacher if you need help or are unsure.
Remember: Must Do first, Can Do next!

Your task:
Choose a book from the colour wheel that matches your reading level. This will help you build fluency, confidence, and reading mileage.
What to do:
Select a suitable book.
Read every day for at least 15 minutes.
Practise reading smoothly, with expression and accuracy.
Be ready to share a favourite part, a new word, or a quick summary.
✨ Remember: The more you read, the stronger and more confident your reading becomes!
📚 Reading Task Board – Let’s Get Started!
Choose a story from the Reading Task Board and enjoy reading carefully and thoughtfully.
Once you have finished your story:
Make a copy of the follow-up task.
Complete the task carefully, showing your best thinking.
Save it in your Reading folder on your Drive.
Title the document with the name of the story so it’s easy to find.
When you have completed both your reading and the follow-up task, you may then move on to the Choice Board activity.
Take your time, do your best work, and show your understanding.
