Seventh Grade
I actually do many activities at home. Some examples are editing videos, making designs for posters, drawing, and more. I always try to improve these skills everyday. I do this because it's entertaining, fun, and can also benefit the school. Since I'm part of student council, I can improve it a bit. The picture example is a sticker idea for the school. This is being the best I can be because I try and take the initiative to improve these skills.
In my about me section, you may have seen that I have a youtube channel. When I wrote that section in 6th grade, I only had 213 subscribers. Now as a 7th grader a year from last time, I now have 840 subscribers. I didn't instantly get a lot of subscribers. I had to be on youtube for 4 years. First I was a gaming channel, then became an editing channel, and now I'm an animation channel. When I was a gaming channel I wasn't really having fun as much. I wasn't really doing what I wanted to do. I got a little bit of subscribers when I changed into an editing channel but I got some hate from people saying I copied someone. I was younger and I didn't know much. I quit even though I had supporters of me editing. I just lost motivation for a while. Then I got into animating. I wanted to learn more since I wanted to become an animator in the future. Then I posted a video in summer of 2021. Then it went viral with over 100k views. This proves that being the best you can be will pay off.
I have already drawn 2 pieces for the school. One for the yearbook and the other for the auction. I am really grateful for the opportunity to draw and help out the school with my art. I really enjoyed drawing each of the two pieces. I felt really happy that everyone loved my art as well.
Sixth Grade
This was the first art contest I joined. I wasn't expecting my poster to win. All I knew was that I put my hard work into this poster and that I want to help make a change. I actually won this contest. I was so excited because it was my first art contest and I won. My advice to people reading this now is to try new things. It can be frightening at first but if you believe it you can achieve it.
This is when I won an art contest in Samtrans. When I first came up with the idea I showed it to my parents. They didn't really understand what was going on in the picture/artwork but I decided to submit it anyway. Surprisingly I won. When you have an idea I think it's best to stick with what you think is good. Even though others might not agree with you, go with what your gut is telling you.
