Seventh Grade
I always do my work early most of the time. It can depend if I'm busy or not. If I have the time, I use it wisely. Getting a head start on schoolwork can help. Work can pile up over time. This helps me manage things easily. I also want to relax from time to time. Getting things done will help so I don't stress out later on. I think this is being a responsible citizen because I try to improve managing my time everyday.
In the past I haven't been able to manage my time. I used to be really stressed about completing things. Now I learned how to take things one at a time. I know now to get things done early so I wouldn't be overwhelmed. Being a responsible citizen means getting everything done before playing or resting. But I also know it's still good to take breaks once and a while.
Balancing these two things can be hard. But a responsible citizen would take the initiative to try their best. I am now trying to balance these two. It's good to practice different skills but focusing on school is one of my priorities. Everytime I get a break, I choose to do some of my hobbies. I make sure to finish my work first.
Sixth Grade
When my brother got into kindergarten I wanted to make sure he was okay. It was his first time playing outside in the field with other different grades. Watching over younger siblings is important. You also need to show them what is right and wrong.
This was my first time playing in a volleyball game. Sadly we didn't win but that's okay. We won't always win. Volleyball has taught me two things. First is teamwork. There is a saying, "Teamwork makes the dream work". The team was amazing and it made me realize that we all need to work together and that I'm never alone. The second thing volleyball has taught me is that no matter what you won't always get what you want. Even though you really want to win or even if you have won so many times, you won't always succeed. We will all fall down or make mistakes. It's okay to make mistakes, as long as we learn from them.
