What began in 1994 by selling wax to candle-makers, soon led to expansion to meet increasing demand. In 2003 we opened Velas Hispaniola, a state-of-the-art, high-volume candle making facility with the latest in modern technologies and manufacturing equipment.
Now in our third generation, our team has grown to 1,100 strong as we continue to pour our hearts and passions into every candle we make. Today, many of the world's top brands rely on our private label candle making services. We would welcome the opportunity to do the same for you.

Our headquarters and manufacturing operations are housed in a state-of-the-art 350,000 square foot building in the 140-acre campus of the Hispaniola Industrial Park and Free Trade Zone, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Our large-scale candle making operations are fully with the most advanced candle making technologies and equipment and are fully staffed for high volume production.

Velas Hispaniola U.S. offices located in Charleston, SC are headed by Rick Langley, Chief Sales Officer and provide customer services for sales, design, marketing, product line development, and project management. Velas Hispaniola owns and resides in the Hispaniola Industrial Free Trade Zone Business Park in Santo Domingo. The HIFZP is also home to our associated CLC Dominicana Label Printing Company which provides our label services. Future additions to the park include a furniture maker, a corrugated products, a wick supplier, and a personal care manufacturer.

Sustainability
Our energy is created by cogeneration, a combination of electrical power and thermal energy captured from hot water and exhaust generated in our operations. Electricity powers the plant and thermal energy heats our wax tanks. We are 90% efficient, generating 45% electricity and 45% thermal energy.
