The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are targeted for K-12 education and list science content standards that set expectations for what students should be able to perform. NGSS follows a 3D approach and provides examples of lesson plans and units, example rubrics and criteria, and evidence statements. NGSS is flexible in designing classroom learning experiences and is making the shift from separate subject areas to a more integrative, design based approach. 

Science Buddies is an online website dedicated to educating students on the STEM topics through hands-on experiences. This website is free for all users and provides students with experiments,  project guides, STEM activities, and the ability to explore different science careers.
