about Mrs. Broadhurst

I grew up in Middletown, New Jersey, where I still live today. I have been married for 25 years, have two college age kids, and two kitties.  

I received my Bachelors in Special Education and Elementary Education from Georgian Court University, and my Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton. 

This is my 24th year of teaching, and my 21st here in Holmdel. Although I have taught all core subjects, my passion, and the bulk of my experience, is in the Middle School Science classroom. It's a joy to see students sit in awe of scientific phenomena and apply emerging critical thinking skills through questioning, exploration, and collaboration. 

Working with the future of our society is truly rewarding, and I am proud of the impact I have made over the years. The kids add fun and laughter to my days, and that is the best part of all.  My own children are now far beyond the "kid" years, so it's so much fun coming into school.
