Hello! My name is Signora/Señora Lisa Biccari and I am excited to be your teacher this year. I have been teaching Italian and Spanish in public high/middle schools since 2001. Here are some things about me.

I grew up in Holmdel, New Jersey attending the Holmdel School System from Indian Hill through High School. After, I attended and graduated from Rutgers University majoring in Italian and Spanish and studying abroad in Florence, Italy. From 2001-2006 I worked for Long Branch High School teaching Italian/Spanish. In 2006 after getting married, my husband and I moved to the Bay Area due to his job. I continued teaching Spanish filling a one year maternity leave while working on my California Teaching Credential. From 2007-2021 I taught Italian/Spanish for Burlingame Intermediate School. In 2009 I traveled to Spain enjoying the modern art, food, and speaking with natives. In the summer of 2021, my family and I relocated back in New Jersey and specifically in Holmdel. Finally, I am proud to say that I am teaching at W.R. Satz School!

Besides teaching, I love my family, music, cappuccino, fitness such as yoga and walking, and I love all styles of dancing, especially ballet and hip- hop. Since my husband is from Bologna, Italy, we travel there frequently. Finally, I can’t wait to learn about all of you and teach you this year!
