Hollyfield is a Google school. Governors, leaders, teachers and students use Google apps on a daily basis. This means that the vast majority of student centered online learning environments and services are all within the Googleshphere, known as 'Google Workspace'.
The Lenovo 500e has excellent battery technology meaning that, so long as students charge their devices over night, the Chromebooks will remain functional throughout the school day and even extend to the extracurricular activities that take place after school as well.
The devices are extremely user friendly and secure. They are compatible with the school's monitoring and filtering services to ensure student safety and the on-site IT team are very familiar with the hardware, enabling them to provide the best support to maintain a working device for every student, every day.
As part of the student and parent agreements, students will be expected to keep their Chromebook in its hard case at all times to help protect the device to reduce accidental damage. Whilst the school will repair broken devices, we do expect students to care for their device to reduce the need to process repairs.
