La Maitresse

Bonjour!  Je m'appelle Madame McGovern.  The school year will be full of fun, new experiences as your child learns to understand and speak French through the instruction of Placentino's kindergarten curriculum. AMAZING!

I am a graduate of Holliston’s original French Immersion class, completing the program from Kindergarten through grade 12. Upon high school graduation, I continued on to further my studies at Saint Anselm College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in French. During that time I studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France at the Institute for American Universities.

I have worked in Holliston’s elementary schools since 2012 -- starting out as the instructional paraprofessional for two years in the Kindergarten French Immersion Program, then teaching both first grade and fifth-grade French Immersion -- and now teaching Kindergarten French Immersion. Through these wonderful and rewarding experiences, I have been able to confirm what I always thought to be true... I love teaching French!
