The umpire station is on the upstairs balcony with the timing team. It should be all the way to the right, giving you an unobstructed view toward the BU Bridge. Space is tight so please don't spread out more than necessary.

This station is responsible for the race course from the start line to the far side of the BU Bridge. The umpires at station 2 cannot see beneath themselves, so station 1 umpires need to watch as far as you can see under the bridge. 

With the 2025 rule clarification about passing before the BU Bridge, non-yield penalties are no longer applicable at this station. It is the sole responsibility of a passing crew to do so safely and without incident.
