Umpire supplies for racing are distributed in the station bin, restocked for each day's racing. 

The station bins contain:

• Station binders - penalty forms, safety protocol, umpire quick guide to penalties, umpire phone list, umpire assignments

• Binoculars

• Clipboards

• Megaphone

• Red and white flags

• Backup set of penalty forms

• Caution tape (50 yds)

• Compostable garbage bag (Sat/Sun: white trash bag, green recyclables bag, blue compost bag)

• Race entry list

• iPad for reporting penalties

• Regatta radio

The equipment should be returned each day after racing unless otherwise instructed. The radio and iPad must be returned so they can be properly charged for the next day.

• Umpire Station Guide: This shows you where each umpire station is placed along the side of the course, the boundaries for each station, and includes nuances about the stations. 

• Umpire Location Map: A full map customized with our locations, including umpire station information. ✅

• Umpire Transportation Summary: The where and when of the weekend's transportation plan. 

• HOCR Operations Map: A full map with the location of the safety and river control positions, first aid, and our umpire stations. A paper copy of this will be in the station bins and hopefully in your umpire handouts. 

• Umpires Quick Guide to Penalties: Review this 1-page summary of the key points about the penalties you may assess during racing. ✅

• Station Lead Umpire "Cheat Sheet": 1-page summary of the key points for Station Lead Umpires. ✅

• Athlete Guide: The athlete guide for this year's regatta. The competitors are expected to know all the information included in this document. 

• Competitors Guide to Avoiding Penalties: This is given to every competitor as an aid to avoiding penalties and following the rules of racing. 

• Emergency Safety Protocol: Follow this script if you need to report an emergency during racing. ✅

• HOCR Rulebook: Official regatta rules in PDF format (you'll get a paper copy with your handouts).

• Bow Card Colors: Per event colors for the bow cards.

• Umpire Assignments by Station: Posted the week of the regatta, this version has the assignments listed by station. 

• Umpire Assignments by Name: Posted the week of the regatta, this version has the assignments listed by umpire name. 

• Assignments Transportation: Posted the week of the regatta. This contains the van/car information for each person based on your assignment location. Sunday's list also has your airport transportation details.
