It is important to teach the American Revolution to our students in class. It is an immensely complex issue to study. By reading on the life of David Wooster, and then putting his experiences in context with the overall bigger picture, one cannot help but feel a great sense of frustration and anxiety. This document will help students see that there were so many pieces to the puzzle in fighting this Revolution, and George Washington was given the daunting task of trying to pull them all together. David Wooster was a major piece of that puzzle, despite all of the distractions and frustrations Washington had to deal with. These first two years of the war show two military veterans (Wooster and Washington) each trying to deal with impossible odds and hoping to achieve victory in the end for the American cause.
