Careeronestop - A website with information about careers, job training, and job searching.

Occupational Outlook Handbook  - Information about hundreds of careers, from the US Dept. of Labor

O*NET Resource Center - Information about the specific skills and job tasks of hundreds of jobs. Very detailed, with information about the types of people who typically hold these jobs

US News Best Colleges  - A trusted source for rankings of college programs, including information about cost, and links to university webpages

Databases:

ProQuest Central Student - A comprehensive article database to find information for a wide range of subjects. To access use your HNHS email account. The authentication is the same on and off campus.

U.S. News & World Report Best Engineering Graduate Schools - Provides ranking list of best Engineering Grad Schools, toward the bottom of the page there are tips on applying to graduate school, paying for school, preparing for the GRE, etc.

U.S. News & World Report Best STEM Jobs - Provides ranking list of best STEM Jobs, toward the top of the page click the "Applying," "Interviewing," etc. tabs for tips on the job application process.

computerscience.org - Provides numerous resources to assist people interested in computer science. Contains a section dedicated to supporting and encouraging women interested in computer science. Topics include finding college programs and tips for career development (job interview, career options, etc.)

Professional Engineering Organizations:

Networking with one's fellow scientists and engineers is extremely important for personal and professional development.  Professional societies sponsor conferences, publish journals, and serve as reviewers or editors.  They set professional and educational standards and provide job and career services for their members. It might be interesting to take a look.
