Raelene is a beekeeper, her business is called Hey Honey. She checks on the hives once every two weeks to see the progress of the bees. She then harvests the honey from the hives sometime between the end of August and the beginning of September. Once the honey is harvested, she puts it into jars and sells it locally. She also often gives speeches and presentations about honey bees. Her SAE helps her learn more about entrepreneurship and speaking.
Jayce works at Van Otegham's Dairy Farm. This farm is locally owned and operated by a family in the community. Jayce enjoys completing daily tasks to make sure that the farm operation stays running smoothly and all the animals stay healthy. He enjoys working on and operating the equipment on the farm. He also feeds the cows and helps milk when they are short-handed.
Aly's SAE project is her horse. She must take care of it daily so that it stays healthy. She shows her horse at both the county and state fairs. She also loves sharing about her horse project within the chapter at both meetings and events!
Andrew works at Waterbeck Farms. Throughout the year, he helps with planting crops, harvesting crops, and checking cattle. This year it will expand into raising swine as well. His SAE project helps him learn more about what it takes to run a farm. He enjoys learning about all things agriculture.
Kinze's SAE project is her pigs. She shows pigs at both the county and state fairs, and goes to many other show competitions as well. She loves educating others on how to raise pigs and frequently talks to other members about her experiences. Kinze's project teaches her what it is like to care for an animal.
Jack runs a summer sweet corn business. He is in charge of placing seed orders, planting his crop, picking the corn, and setting up stands to sell his product. Jack is very passoinate about his business and ensures that his customers recieve the best quality sweet corn around! Jack's SAE project teaches him what it takes to operate a business.
