Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Fun define FIRST's Core Values. Teams in FLL should be familiar with each Core Value as well as the FIRST community's two most significant fundamentals, Coopertition and Gracious Professionalism. While observing teams during the Innovation Project and Robot Design judging, the Core Values judge will mostly assess how effectively they demonstrate the FIRST core values, but they may also be questioned during the Core Values Reflection phase of the judging session. Teams are assessed based on how well they uphold all of the basic principles.
