In 2017, Texas HB 22 was passed which ushered in the A-F Accountability system. As part of that legislation, CCMR was identified as an important component to a school's accountability. Under the current accountability system, students can show college and career readiness in several ways.
For students at Hallsville High School, College Readiness is proven by scores on standardized tests such as ACT, SAT and TSIA, scores on AP exams, or successfully completing required hours of approved dual credit courses.
Career Readiness may be proven by earning an industry-based certification while successfully completing a CTE Program of Study, graduating with a completed IEP and workforce readiness indicator, or graduating under an advanced degree plan while receiving special education services.
Military Readiness is shown by submitting a student's completed and signed enlistment forms known as the DD Form 4.
For Hallsville ISD, College, Career and Military Readiness is more than just an accountability measure - it is the outcome of the Pk-12 learning experience of our students. I am excited to partner with you to build our CCMR program as a central spot for information and support so that all of our students can pursue and achieve the post-secondary goals they have set for a successful future!
