HISD allows junior and senior students to be absent for up to two days per year (excused) to visit a college or university campus.
A College Visit Form (properly completed and signed by a college representative) is required to be submitted to attendance upon return to HHS in order for the absence to be excused.
College Visit Forms may be obtained from Mrs. Upchurch in the Counseling Center.

Texas A&M Engineering Academy at TJC offers engineering students a quality education with major cost savings
Texas A&M University and Tyler Junior College have launched the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at TJC and will enroll the first cohort of students in Fall 2023.

Cool Fact: Our very own Ag Mechanics teacher, Mr. Osborn, is an OSU graduate and even earned the opportunity to serve as Pistol Pete, OSU's mascot, while he was a student!
