This development plan is designed to help you turn today’s learning about Emotional Intelligence (EI) into practical action. EI is not just about knowing the concepts, it grows when you apply it consistently in your daily life and work.
Reflect on your strengths – Think about which EI behaviours came naturally to you during the Mind Motion game and in your everyday interactions. Write these in the “Strengths” section and note how you can use them more intentionally.
Identify your development areas – Choose the EI behaviours you’d like to improve. Be honest about situations where you struggle most. Write these in the “Areas to Develop” section.
Create a 30-day action plan – Pick 1 to 2 focus areas. Write down small, realistic practices you can do daily or weekly (e.g., pausing before reacting, checking in with a teammate, writing down emotions once a day).
Decide on accountability – Choose how you will track your progress (journal, reflection, check-in with your mentor/coach, appointed learning accelerators, a peer/manager) and who can support you.
Reflection prompt – At the bottom, answer: “At the end of 30 days, how will I know I have grown my Emotional Intelligence?”
