In W.K. Kellogg Food Analysis Laboratory, analysis of the nutritional content of a wide range of foods is carried out. The quality of food samples is assessed by various methods. Preservation techniques like pasteurization, sterlization, fermentation is done in the lab. Foods are subjected to various processing techniques in the lab.
The Food Analysis Laboratory of the Department of Food Technology was inaugurated on March 5, 2022 by Mr.Kris Gopalakrishnan, Infosys co-founder at Jubilee Block Room No. JB416. The laboratory is equipped with an array of sophisticated analytical equipment capable of analyzing a wide range of chemical and microbiological analysis in food samples.
