ABOUT THE FOOD TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME
The Food Technology program is designed with an aim to groom students in areas related to the field of Food Science, Nutrition, and Technology. The programs offer a curriculum highlighting Food Processing Technology, combining food science, food product development, and food business, and equips students with the fundamentals of food science and applied food technology skills required for a career in the food industry. Students will learn not only in the classrooms but through practical laboratories and internships, and industrial visits that focus on industry problems and solutions. Students will obtain hands-on experience in industrial-standard food processing plants. Studying Food Technology opens the doors to a wide range of career options. Students can work in a product development lab to introduce the newest food products to hit the market, or on the factory floor involved in the production of food, quality check, packaging, and food safety standards are met.
MISSION: To impart high-quality education to build the students' abilities and enhance their skills to make them globally competitive Food Technologists. To develop state-of-the-art research facilities to provide a collaborative environment that stimulates the opportunities to create, analyze, apply, and disseminate knowledge.
