Look around you, there will be a student you know and don’t know, ones you have heard things about, one who you have seen around school but never spoken to.
This course offers you the opportunity to experience working alongside students who you may not necessarily like to or naturally would have in any other class. Life is full of problem solving, decision making, and working alongside people.
This course aims to provide you with skills that will help you in your future in school and outside of school. It will also teach you outdoor skills and make the most of every opportunity you get.
“Never stop learning because life never stops teaching”

Student Testimonials / Feedback
Reasons WHY you enjoyed this course:
Trying new things, getting out and about, exploring my background
I liked going out on Tuesdays and I liked spending time with everyone in the class while we were on camps and doing activities
Units were good, content that we covered in class was relevant to what we were learning and we were pushed out of our comfort zones.
Supportive environment
Something NEW you learnt or experienced was:
I learnt a lot about my personal limits and that i could achieve a lot if i became passionate about it
How to be a leader and learn more about nature and outdoors
Learning everything about sea kayaking, health and safety was the best thing we learnt, how to stay safe etc.
To cooperate with others
Learning to understand everyone's different abilities
If I was to do this course again what would you do differently?
Give more enthusiasm and get more involved in the activities.
Maybe do the kayaking in the summer instead of winter
Try everything!
i would try harder at the beginning of the year
not complain if I don't like something and try to make it fun and enjoyable
3 things I would recommend to next year's students are:
Give the mountain bike trip a go even if your not confident
Get out of your comfort zone
Enjoy all experiences
Always be prepared have a good attitude try everything
give everything a go because accomplishing things you genuinely never thought you would do before is a good feeling, don't worry about what others say if you're scared to try something out and others are being disrespectful about it don't listen and have fun idk
Experience everything while trying your best
make friends with the whole class as soon as possible because it's going to happen at some point anyway. try hard from the beginning of the year.
Come prepared for anything and any weather. Give everything a go no matter what.
