Do you have a pet? What animal is it?
Superheroes! If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
Learn about the 7 continents of the world in song!
Look at photos and/ or videos of special family occasions e.g. weddings, birthdays, religious occasions. Talk to your child about who was there, what was being celebrated and anything else that is relevant.
After listening to the story why don't you try to grow your own carrots using the tops you cut off when preparing them. Place in a shallow dish and add water. Observe daily and watch them grow.
If you have any cress seeds at home, this is a quick to grow plant for your child to observe.
If you have some Cheerios or similar cereal at home, why not try threading them onto a string (wool, cotton, pipe cleaner - whatever you have). Tie up the ends of the string then hang the feeder in the garden or a tree near your home.
Can you draw a picture of your house? Who lives with you? Can you write their names by your drawing?
Can you draw around the outline of your body? Can you carefully sound out the names of each body part?
Look at the different types of technology that you may have seen. Can you tick which ones do what?
