Projects 2020 - 2021
Centered in the past and present, students reflect on aspects of their neighborhoods to identify resources, positive and negative aspects, and patterns of change over time. Students then make connections between their communities and the characteristics of mathematical functions, developing a deeper understanding both of their surroundings and the math that represents them.
Opening the door to the world of finances, this project aims to provide relevant financial information and practice putting it to use through activities, simulations, and student-led presentations of learning. Making connections between their own lives and the evolving financial system, students build resilience by using their knowledge to plan ahead, make sound decisions, and ask the right questions.
