Working with 12th grade math students, I inevitably made the connection that this group would soon be going off into the real world, and math can be used as a tool to navigate the opportunities that post-grad life offers. I designed this personal finance project to scratch the surface of a number of topics based on what students shared they already knew and wanted to learn more about.

This project was cut short in the Zoom-to-hybrid transition, but check out the project handout below for the full plan! I intend to incorporate aspects of financial literacy into each math course, choosing topics based on students' current mathematical knowledge.
