This semester, we have been working on school projects related to the outside world. Our projects have been at 6 different locations, hiking mission trails, camping at Anza Berregos, OC ropes courses, paddleboarding, Sea World, and a cardboard boat test. All different reasons to learn how to get students to get out of their comfort zone, and also to teach them how to work in a different environment. The field trips helped build friendships with people, for example, Anza Berregos is an iconic field trip to remember in the future about high school, being able to explore an area, and to be camping, don't you know, go to, and being able to have people from school was cool.
Something we've learned this semester is how companies market their food. Ways they market their food are by influencing foods on menus or seeing a food review online, making people believe what they consume in their food. There are a lot of labels on foods that can sometimes show wrong information or provide false information about the products in the food. Another key factor is the transportation of the food to our stores. We learned how foods connect to big global trades were foods come from around the world and end up together. This shows how valuable some of the resources in certain areas are. That is how to be food is taken away to other places to be transported to even other places, then get transported again.
