Our Project:

The goal of the project was for 4th graders at HTeCV to raise awareness about the pollution problem they noticed on campus and put solutions into action to reduce waste. 

Students tracked their daily and weekly habits and behaviors throughout the trimester, logging their use of non-biodegradable waste and single-use plastics.

Students researched about the impacts of pollution on the environment and wrote an informational writing piece to help raise awareness about the problems caused by single-use plastic.  They also learned about the process of ecobricking and how ecobricks are used throughout the world. The ecobricks students created were used to build a collaborative ecobrick structure that will live on in our school garden.
