Ecobrick Timelines

Our 4th graders practiced monitoring and becoming aware of their single use plastic by keeping a living timeline of their plastic waste throughout Trimester 2.  Students were tasked with saving all single-use plastic items they used throughout the week and adding them to their ecobrick.  Each week, we used our timeline to record some examples of our plastic waste and reflect on how much waste we were producing at home and at school.

We weighed our ecobricks on a weekly basis to track how our waste accumulated. Each ecobrick weighs around 200 grams!  We used these bricks to build our structure in the garden.
