Our Project 2022-23:

The first year of our ecobricking project, our goal was for 4th graders at HTeCV to raise awareness about the pollution problem they noticed on campus and put solutions into action to reduce waste. 

Students tracked their daily and weekly habits and behaviors throughout the trimester, logging their use of non-biodegradable waste and single-use plastics.

Students researched about the impacts of pollution on the environment and wrote persuasive letters to members of our school community to help make a difference with the plastic problem.  They also learned about the process of ecobricking and how ecobricks are used throughout the world. The ecobricks students created were used to build a collaborative ecobrick structure that will live on in our school garden.
