The Start Of The Second Week
The Start of the second week Was good I helped Don and Zach sand some chopping boards. After Sanding a bit Zach showed me on how to use the Stamper that the company uses for there work and it was challenging for me because it gets really hot and you have to kind of stamp it perfect or else you have to sand it down if you mess up. So here's a photo of me sanding down a messed up attempt. Working with theses craft smiths Like Don and Zach has been making my internship so much easier being able to shadowing theses guys has made my progressing way much easier in wood working. I'm super Exited about my internship and I really enjoy what I'm doing at my internship And I think my work environment is great Its a very Zen type of environment and the people around have been really great like my mentor Don Has been super helpful already and has gave me a different perspectives on being a business owner and how to proficient with my time.
The big one
So for this day I helped clean around the shop like usually but then Zach stopped me to ask for help to lift something big and heavy. After he told me this I followed him and we went outside to the front gate and It was the Old fashion lumber log they use for there logo. I helped Zach take it down and then went back inside to sand a couple cutting boards. When Zach came back inside he told me to take off the metal logo that was glued on and after to sand it . Me personally I was super extiched because when I think of wood working theses types of images pop up in my head and so far during my internship journey it has been the biggest piece of wood I've sanded. So it was a super cool expriexe to have under my belt now.
