Our semester one project, The Ripple Effect, focused on our planet's water, and our impact on the oceans, rivers, and lakes of the earth. The project was broken down into several smaller projects where we researched our local water sources, discovered different ways we pollute and harm the oceans, and built water purifiers. The goal of the project was for us to better understand the water around us, and the ways we affect it.
The focus of the freshman second semester project, Living History, was to learn about the lives of ancient peoples through research to create several products, and hands-on experiences meant to mimic and show us how these ancient people lived. Throughout the project we went on a primitive camping trip, created stone tools, learned metal casting to create coins, built catapults, and put on a play as we learned about different humans and civilizations throughout history.
