Oregon Guard Certification

General Information:

Oregon has different levels of certification depending on the type of security work you do. The types of events HRS works require the Event and Entertainment certification, which includes security for events such as concerts, sporting events, parades, and festivals. The steps guide outlines the process for obtaining the Event and Entertainment Certification

The Unarmed Professional is a broader certification that allows you to work events as well as security for businesses. The same application and fingerprinting requirements apply, with additional training requirements. If you live in Oregon and want to work for other companies, consider this option. Training must be  provided by a licensed instructor, some offer remote options. 

You must have a GED or High School Diploma for an Oregon Security Certification.
