Team 2 - Part 2

DAY 6: Friday 17th October 

FROM: Alemdoun TO: Boutaghrar

Team 2 will trek down Agouti gorge to El Hot. Visit the Kasbah then continue along the valley to Boutaghrar where they will be working on a project site.

Overnight stay in a village house (gite).

Team 2 trek through the Rose Valley to our project base in Boutaghrar and stay in Hotel Awayou. 

Team 2 today on their long walk through a gorge and valley on their way to their community project site.

Team 2 are coninuing the work completed by Team 1 at the project site earlier this week. A pipe has been laid from the well and they are filling the trench. There is still a long way to go for the complete 800m to reach the village but they are happy to have contributed to the start of the project.

DAY 8: Sunday 19th October

FROM: Boutaghrar TO: Boutaghrar

Team 2 will take part in a community project.

Overnight stay in a village house (gite).

Team 2 have completed their project, working with some of the locals to lay 100m of water pipe in a trench that they have dug and refilled. The  work will carry on for another month and they are happy to have contributed. Special mention to Ermioni and Ryan who both worked tirelessly.

DAY 9: Monday 20th October 

FROM: Boutaghrar TO: Marrakesh 

After breakfast, Team 2 will drive along the “1000 Kasbahs” route to Ouarzazate then, over the Tizi n Tichka pass to Marrakesh.

Overnight stay in the hotel.

Team 2 celebrate the end of the project with some traditional drumming and dancing. The village also thanked them for all their hard work.

DAY 10: Tuesday 21st October  

FROM: Marrakesh TO: UK

Team 2 can have an optional morning guided city tour of Marrakesh, all will then transfer to Marrakesh airport for the flight home.

Depart Marrakesh 16:05, BA669 to London Heathrow.
