ITINERARY
DAY 1: Sunday 12th October
FROM: UK TO: Marrakesh
Depart London Heathrow T5 at 08:15, flight no. BA668. Arrive in Marrakesh 11.55.
Team 1 will be met by their in-country representative and transferred by private bus to the hotel. This afternoon, students will take a walk into the markets and will stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: Monday 13th October
FROM: Marrakesh TO: Alemdoun
After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, Team 1 will leave Marrakech for their journey through the High Atlas Mountains, to Alemdoun. Here they will meet their trekking crew and head for their first camp of the trek.
Over the next 2 days, they will trek through lush valleys, across mountain plateaus and colourful landscapes in the Rose Valley. Team 1 will stay overnight in a village house (gite).

DAY 3: Tuesday 14th October
FROM: Dades Gorge TO: Boutaghrar
Following the Agouti gorge, Team 1 will reach the Upper Rose Valley. They will stop at the village of El Hot to visit its imposing kasbah. Team 1 will hike along the Rose Valley to Hdida. Here they'll bid farewell to the main trekking crew and transfer to Todgha. Walking through one of the world's most spectacular canyons, with stunning views of the sheer red rock faces. Team 1 will continue through the valley to Boutaghrar, where they will be working on a community project site.

DAY 4: Wednesday 15th October
FROM: Boutaghrar TO: Boutaghrar
Boutaghrar project work. Overnight stay in village house (gite).

DAY 5: Thursday 16th October

DAY 6: Friday 17th October
FROM: Boutaghrar TO: Desert
After breakfast, Team 1 will drive to Tinghir with a detour to Todgha gorge, then, along the southern slopes of the High Atlas to Erfoud. Continue to Merzouga. They will meet the camel handlers and ride/hike along the expensive dunes to the desert camp.
Overnight stay in the desert camp.

DAY 7: Saturday 18th October
FROM: Desert TO: Tazzarine
Team 1 will camel ride/hike across the dunes and back to Merzouga. Meet the vehicle and drive to Rissani, once a large trading stop of the caravans. They will then continue along the southern slopes of Jebel Saghro to Tamnougalte, once the capital of Draa valley.
Overnight stay in camp.
DAY 8: Sunday 19th October
FROM: Tazzarine TO: Ouarzazate
After breakfast, Team 1 will drive over the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate. They will take a short detour to explore the World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 9: Monday 20th October
FROM: Ouarzazate TO: Marrakesh
Travel back over the Tizi n'Tichka pass to Marrakesh.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 10: Tuesday 21st October
FROM: Marrakesh TO: UK
Team 1 can have an optional morning guided city tour of Marrakesh, all will then transfer to Marrakesh airport for the flight home.
Depart Marrakesh 16:05, BA669 to London Heathrow.
