This is a handmade brick from the Main House with a paw print in the middle. A dog or cat walked on it while the brick was being made and drying. While George probably did not make bricks, he most likely laid them or saw them being laid for the foundation of the 1818 guesthouse, and used them as nogging, or insulating layers, between walls in the house. When building the guesthouse, George would have been surrounded by the sights, smells, and sounds of Highland, a working plantation.
