Every good traveler needs a nice supply of tools to help them on their journeys. This closet contains the items available for use in the TimeQuest game.

There are two types of item cards that players can collect throughout the year: Power Ups and Allies. All items are collectible treasure that players can use to earn additional XP, gold, or unique advantages throughout the game. Players may collect items by...

        • completing all types of quests: crew quests, side quests, secret quests
        • demonstrating the Purpose Driven Learning Skills displayed in the Corporation Classroom
        • purchasing them with the gold earned throughout the game.

All players must follow The Husky Corporation rules in order to use items successfully. These rules include:

  1. Storing Items - all item cards must be kept in their "briefcase" (section of agent interactive notebook.) Agents CAN NOT have more than 9 cards at a time; breaking this corporation rule may result in a loss of all Power Up items.
  2. Using Items - only 1 item can be used per class period and a player MUST have reached the XP level indicated on the item card in order to use it. For example, if the card has a #5, then the player must be at level 5 or higher in order to use the item.
  3. Trading Items - trading items with other players in the game is allowed, but it CAN NOT be done during class time unless the AD has given permission.
  4. Purchasing Items - certain items can be purchased throughout the year using gold. A player must first reach the AGENT GAME LEVEL to start getting paid by the corporation, which means earning gold.

POWER-UP CARDS

Power-Ups are wildcard items that allow players to take advantage of privileges or skills earned throughout the game. These cards may allow users to bend, break, or ignore specific rules of the game when they are played. Power-Up cards will indicate when a player may use the item.

    • Interrupt - interrupt items may be played at anytime during a class period.
    • Instant - instant items must be played at the beginning of class.

Most Power-Ups are single use items unless otherwise indicated on the card description.

ALLY CARDS

Ally cards are rare, powerful scientist cards that can be won (or lost) by a player's game-based actions such as completing a Side Quest or discovering an easter egg throughout the game. There are nine Allies that a player can collect throughout the game and each card allows the player to take on certain powers. Allies may give a player certain privileges or protection against enemies in the game. These cards are rare and some will only be available for a limited amount of time; so collect them while you can. As in real life, the more allies you surround yourself with, the stronger you will be.

Ally Cards CAN NOT be purchased, they MUST BE EARNED!
