Banzai! Financial Literacy Program
Students Will Learn the Following During the 6th Grade ACP Unit Facilitated by Mrs. Restivo
Students will build off their personality assessments, career cluster findings, motivation and learning styles, and multiple intelligences assessments as well as their capstone career showcase project from 5th grade as they venture into the world of Xello. They will discover likes and dislikes, personality styles, career clusters they align with, their learning style preferences, and their skills as they complete the four phase Matchmaker Assessment in Xello. They will also complete the additional 4 lessons in Xello with small groups of peers to promote joining extracurricular activities, volunteering in the community, and uncovering and overcoming barriers to their goals. They will create a final Career Slideshow to share with their peers to help them examine their future goals and plans as well as uncover what they need to do now in order to prepare for the future they envision. We will use a great deal of forethought and additional executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, and planning.
