Photography forms an important basis in all our A Level art and design courses. Those students opting for art and design course will have training in how to record with a camera and how to use editing software such as Photoshop.

A Level students can opt either at the start of the A Level, or part way through, to become specialist photographers and submit all their A Level work through the medium of photography.

All photography A Levels are a part of the A level Art and Design Specifications. As such, they follow the same format as the other seven art and design specialisms.

Those students taking photography at HGS will follow the same overall scheme of learning as art students.
