Extra-Curricular

Clubs 

We run a number of clubs for all Key Stages both at lunch and after school. We offer the Arts Award from bronze to Gold Level as an extra-curricular qualification.

Trips

We run a range of trips for Years 9 up wards, including visits to national and international galleries and places to gather visual research. At A Level we run joint trips with HBS. Examples  of trip destinations include the Fitzwilliam, Cambridge, Tate galleries London, Manchester and Liverpool galleries and a recent trip to Venice.

Art Competitions and Exhibitions to Enter

ootiBOO! is a fun spooky annual project for all ages, in collaboration with partners Farshore, The Works and HarperCollins. Deadline: 31st October 2023

The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour have an exciting new competition for UK school students aged 11-18 year olds working in watercolour and water based media. Deadline: 1st November 2023

10 monthly rounds to enter throughout 2023 in different catagories. Your best-placed image in each round will count towards your Amateur Photographer of the Year 2023 ranking. Deadlines Vary

Free to enter and open to photographers under 19 year-olds submitting single images taken in 2023. Competition runs from 1 June 2023 to 5 January 2024


The theme for the 2024 Science without Borders® Challenge is “Hidden Wonders of the Deep.” To apply for this year’s contest, students should submit artwork depicting mysterious and unique deep-sea creatures or ecosystems, highlighting the beauty and diversity that often goes unseen.
