Hi there!

Welcome to Pre-K 4A! My name is Mrs. Erin Burns, and I am delighted to be your child's teacher this school year. My classroom aide is Ms. Gwen Bernard. We have worked together for several years, and are looking forward to another amazing year in our classroom with new students!

I've been a part of the Holy Family Regional Catholic School family for many years. I attended 8th Grade at HFRCS and graduated with the very first class in 2011! Since 2016, I have worked at the school in many capacities at different times; I was a summer camp counselor and a member of the afternoon CARES staff, to name just a few. In 2022, I was the long-term substitute in Pre-K 3. In January of 2023, I became the long-term substitute in Pre-K 4A, and here I have stayed! I love my classroom and who I share it with. My Catholic faith is very important to me, and you will find me celebrating Mass at St. Frances Cabrini in Fairless Hills every weekend. I love Jesus and treasure my vocation as a Catholic school teacher!

All of my teaching experience has been in preschool. I have taught in early childhood settings in Bristol, Langhorne, and Newtown. In May of 2021, I earned my associate's degree in Early Education from Bucks County Community College. In May of 2023, I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Holy Family University. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 4th Grade in the state of Pennsylvania.

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, baking, shopping and moving my body, whether in the gym or outside! I became an aunt and godmother earlier this year, and spending time with my favorite little guy, Stevie, brings me so much joy. Walt Disney World in Florida is my happy place. I am a huge Disney fan, and have been since I was a little girl! I am happily married to my husband, David, who is a career firefighter and emergency medical technician (EMT). We live in Croydon, PA and share a Golden Retriever named Claude, after former Philadelphia Flyers captain, Claude Giroux. Of course, we love and support all Philadelphia sports teams!

I'm very grateful for the opportunity to teach preschool at Holy Family Regional Catholic School. It is a wonderful place! I am proud to practice and share my Catholic faith with even the littlest of learners. My goal for this year is to assist your child academically, physically, and spiritually in helping to create a well-rounded child.
