General Reminders:

• Please make sure all items have your child’s name on them.

• Children must be completely self-sufficient in the lavatories. This includes unbuttoning and zipping pants.

• Accidents happen! Please make sure your child always has an extra set of clothing at school. 

• Please send in a smock for Art class and a headphone set for Computer class.

Activities to Practice at Home:

Fine Motor

• Using scissors

• Ripping or crumbling paper

• Squeezing and manipulating Play-Doh

• Picking up items with tweezers or kitchen tongs  

 Writing   

• Writing first and last name

• Using letter magnets on the refrigerator 

• Gripping a pencil or crayon correctly 

Math

• Counting objects 

• Identifying shapes and colors 

English Language Arts

• Reading a story, making sure to point to the words as you read and use the illustrations to ask questions
