Hello second graders! I am so excited to be your teacher and I can't wait to meet everyone! We are going to have an awesome year of learning and growing together.

This is my third year teaching at Joshua Circle Elementary but my second year in second grade! Some of you may have seen me walking to lunch, on the playground, or after school at dismissal. You're probably wondering what your new teacher is going to be like, so I'd like to share some things about me!

I love all things Disney, avocados, and cats! My favorite place to go when I am not at home or at school is Disneyland. I can't wait to go again. I have two cats and a daughter!

Here are some of my favorite things!

Some of you may have seen me at school when I was pregnant. Now I am a mom! I had a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Emery Grace Lopez. She was born on June 23rd!

The first picture is Emery's Dad and I. We were so excited to meet our daughter when we took this picture. The next few pictures are of Emery when she was born in the hospital. The last three pictures are of Emery after we brought her home.

Since I just had our baby girl, Emery, I will be taking some time off to spend with my family. Don't worry though, you will be in good hands with our guest teacher, Mr. Azuelos! I will be returning in November & I am so excited to get to know everyone when I get back!

This is Mr. Azuelos! He is going to be teaching our class while I am out on maternity leave. He taught second grade last year for Mrs. Procopio while she had her baby. Our class will be in great hands with him!

Hello, my name is Mr. Azuelos. I’m originally from Philadelphia, I’m married to my wife Juli. I have 5 kids, three boys of my own and two step children. I was a jeweler for 30 years and now I’ve been teaching for the last two years. My favorite grade to teach is 2nd grade. My three favorite things are movies, sports and sharks! I know a lot of you might be thinking new year, new teacher, new grade, online learning, but I promise you, you’ll have fun learning in our class. I’m looking forward to teaching until Miss Rosencrans comes back.
