Natural Resources And War

When there are too many natural resources, everybody wants the benefits, but when they do not get what they want that is how the war starts. They start wasting the resources to support themselves. Everyone can not decide who should manage a country or the area they are living fore its natural resources.

Rebel groups will dig or mine and find diamonds and timber, they sell these natural resources and then the sell them to pay for weapons for their soldiers. They basically just waste all their natural resources on war which is why natural resources should be low in areas that have wars for their benefits.

One leader who gained control of natural resources was Khmer Rouge. He took over places that were rich in rubies and saphires and he ordered millions of people to be killed.
