The value of natural resources.

Since natural resources are used for many things, they are extremely valuable. Not all natural resources have the same value, though. Some can have more value than others. The value of a resource depends on how much it is used. Oil is used a lot in many ways so, oil is very valuable. We turn oil into fuel that powers vehicles and heats homes. Also,Metals are very valuable because they are used in electronics, tools, and buildings.

The value of a natural resource also depends on how much is available. A natural resource that is scarce is more valuable than a resource that is plentiful such as sand. Sand is plentiful so, you would never run out of it but, gold is scarce so an ounce of sand would cost less than an ounce of gold.

Additionally the value of a natural resource can also depend on if there is a low supply of a useful resource, that would cause the price of the resource to grow. Resources are also because they sustain life on Earth and improve human lives.

They also give people a way to earn money. People's jobs depend on natural resources such as food cannot be grown without water and trees are turned into lumber that carpenters use when building homes. People working in factories also need natural resources to create products. People drive trucks, trains, and barges to ship the goods that are created.

Natural resources are also used to trade. People in a place with a natural resource will sell it to people who need it and in return they would get a natural resource they need that they cannot make or money.

Some parts of the world have more valuable natural resources than others such as much of the world’s oil comes from the Middle East, diamonds are found in Africa, and countries in South America and Southeast Asia have large timber supplies. Natural resources provide a country with a source of income. The resources are sold to companies who need them and these companies use the natural resources to create goods and energy products.

Most of the time, a country’s natural resources are not used inside the country, instead They are taken somewhere else to be turned into products. This can cause problems to develop. Natural resources bring money into a country, but the money can cause conflict.
