What Are We Learning?
Reading- ELAGSEKRI3: With prompting and support, describe the connection between
two individuals, events, ideas, or pieces of information in a text.
Writing- ELAGSEKW1: Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose
opinion pieces in which they tell a reader the topic or the name of the book they are
“writing” about and state an opinion or preference about the topic or book (e.g., My
favorite book is...).
Math- K.MDR.7 Observe, describe, and compare the physical and measurable attributes of objects and analyze graphical displays of data to answer relevant questions.
K.NR.5 Explain the concepts of addition, subtraction, and equality and use these concepts to solve real-life problems within 10.
Science- SKL2. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information to compare the similarities and differences in groups of organisms. a. Construct an argument supported by evidence for how animals can be grouped according to their features.
Social Studies- SSKE2: Explain that people earn income by working.
SSKE3a-b: Explain how money is used to purchase goods and services.
SSKE4: Explain that people must make choices because they cannot have everything they want.
SSKE1. Describe the work that people do such as police officer, fire fighter, soldier, mail carrier, farmer, doctor, teacher, etc.
