We used our advisory class time to do research, connect with each other, brainstorm ideas, budget, plan out the food to be served, where to put food, etc. We connected in multiple different ways through our advisory which is what made planning prom an easy and fun experience. We also got the opportunity to advertise tickets to try and sell more through creating an Instagram account. We saw a lot of interaction with the account from our student body.
We provided the students with swag items like glow sticks, similar to what we have done in the past. We felt coming out of 2024 prom that we had a lot to work on. We knew that our peers didn't love the DJ or they ate too much before to enjoy the food at prom. We also knew that having a t-shirt designed by our senior class as a swag item was not popular among the students. We took all of that feedback into account when planning this year's prom and haven't heard any criticism yet!
