Cluster Night Overview

Cluster Night is an exciting opportunity for McDonough Middle School Band students to perform alongside the McDonough High School Marching Band during a home football game. Students will experience what it is like to be part of the high school band program, perform in the stands, and represent the McDonough cluster as one unified band family. All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band students are invited to participate. Participation is not mandatory, but students who participate are expected to attend the scheduled rehearsals and follow all performance expectations.

Rehearsal Information

Rehearsal Days:

Tuesday, September 8

Wednesday, September 9

Thursday, September 10

Time: 4:30 PM–6:00 PM

Location: McDonough High School Band Room

Students should report to the McDonough Middle School Band Room and we will walk to McDonough High School for rehearsal. Please make arrangements for students to be picked up promptly at 6:00 PM. Students should be picked up behind McDonough High School near the band room. All students should be off campus no later than 6:15 PM. Students should bring:

Instrument
Music
Pencil
Any necessary instrument supplies

👕 Attire & Pregame Meal

Performance Attire

Students should wear ALL BLACK for Cluster Night. Students should arrive dressed and ready for the performance.

Acceptable attire includes:

Black T-shirt or black polo
Black jeans or black slacks
All-black jogging suit pants
Black shoes

Pregame Meal

Students may bring $5 for pizza through Thursday, September 10.

Students who do not purchase pizza will need to:

Bring their own food, or
Have a parent/guardian drop food off at the McDonough High School Band Room at 4:30 PM

Students will eat at approximately 4:30 PM before the game.

Students do not have to purchase a game ticket. Parents and family members who plan to attend the game will need to purchase a ticket through GoFan.

Student Performance

Students will perform with the McDonough High School Band during the 1st and 2nd quarter

Students will be released to parents at the end of the 2nd quarter. Parents should be prepared to recieve students immediately after they are released at the end of the 2nd quarter. Please make sure students know exactly who is picking them up and where they should meet after dismissal.

Important Reminders

Students should:

Attend all rehearsals if participating
Be on time
Bring all required materials
Wear the correct all-black attire
Follow all MMS and MHS band expectations
Remain with the band until officially released
