Welcome, Fine Arts families! Weβre excited to provide our students with an opportunity to take their learning beyond the classroom with our Spring Fine Arts Trip to Carowinds.
This trip will bring together fine arts, education, fellowship, and fun while giving our students an opportunity to represent McDonough Middle School and create lasting memories with their classmates.

What Does the $185 Include?
π CHARTER TRANSPORTATION
Round-trip charter bus transportation from McDonough Middle School to Carowinds and back.
π’ CAROWINDS ADMISSION
Student admission to Carowinds Theme Park for the Fine Arts trip and scheduled park activities.
π½οΈ MEALS AT THE PARK
The trip package includes the selected Carowinds dining option for students during our day at the park.
πΆ FINE ARTS EXPERIENCE
Participation in the Fine Arts performance experience, including applicable festival/performance expenses associated with the trip.
Our goal is to make the trip cost as straightforward as possible for families. The student trip fee is $185 when paying by cash. Families who prefer to pay electronically may use MySchoolBucks. A convenience fee applies to electronic payments, making the total online payment $195. The trip fee covers the major trip expenses listed above. Optional purchases, souvenirs, games, or additional food are not included and will be the responsibility of the student.

5:30 AM - Student check-in begins

Report to assigned Fine Arts area
Check in with teacher
Load instruments/equipment
Report to assigned bus
5:50 AM - Attendance and final bus check
6:00 AM - Depart McDonough Middle School
Travel to Carowinds Include:
Planned rest stop if needed
Breakfast expectations communicated beforehand
